Okay, okay I'll stop :P Hi, my name is Alyssa and I'm an avid reader/bookworm. I read probably 50-100 books a year..I do reread books though. This year I got my first library card for free, which is wayy more inexpensive than buying books. But, come on, who doesn't love t have great books sitting on their shelves? As a little girl, Daisy Appleby was killed in a school bus crash. Moments after the accident, she was brought back to life.
A secret government agency has developed a drug called Revive that can bring people back from the dead, and Daisy Appleby, a test subject, has been Revived five times in fifteen years. Daisy takes extraordinary risks, knowing that she can beat death, but each new death also means a new name, a new city, and a new life. When she meets Matt McKean, Daisy begins to question the moral implications of Revive, and as she discovers the agency’s true goals, she realizes she’s at the center of something much larger—and more sinister—than she ever imagined.

I recieved this book as an ARC (Advanced Reading Copy) for free from a local book store in which I will not name. I can't thank them enough for this book--it is so amazing! I especially love the cover (yes, I judge books by their cover) it is so simple yet intricate at the same time. Cat Patrick is an outstanding writer, her style flows effortlessly (in my opinion) and is so easy to get into. Right from reading the back cover, to the opening sentence and the closing sentence I must admit, I was hooked. It's not high fantasy or anything like that, it is the perfect blend of fantasy and realistic fiction.
This is a good teen/YA book, but it is also a good book for those who like an easy read. The plot itself was well thought out and the effort that was put into this book is clear. This is a fifty-fifty read, which means you'll either love it or hate it.
Rating: 8.5/10
